Flowers solitary. Calyx lobes large, fringed with stalked glands hairs and/or hairs, or glabrous. Corolla broadly funnel-shaped to rotate, rarely narrowly tubular-campanulate. Stamens 5. Ovary with style base impressed . Capsule equalling the persistent calyx. Seeds without appendage.
